The Natter is an online features and news magazine for the city of Manchester, in Northwest England. The site provides a strong visual impact, highlighting stories and categories, and includes an easily searchable local events calendar.

The site is a bespoke and heavily customized WordPress template. It used custom fields extensively to provide as much flexibility as possible in the display of stories. Stories can be highlighted in the site header, as teasers, as a main feature, a sub feature, or a combination of all of these. The Gigs Calendar plugin, utilizing a custom designed template, provides events information with jQuery powered quick search.
