I have seen the Silverback site too - but had not noticed the image shift! I think that even though it is subtle that is precisely why it is so cool. Little touched like that make for interesting design</description>

		<description>Thanks for your comment Ben. Yeah, it&#039;s a nice simple subtle touch to implement. Of course the counter argument is that it&#039;s possibly a little bit too subtle - 95%+ of people never resize their window so the effect might be redundant.

That&#039;s a reasonable point. That being said, it&#039;s such minimal code in any case that it&#039;s not exactly adding weight to a site to include it. You could make it even sleeker by using a CSS sprite so there&#039;s only a single image (and a single HTTP) request for all three of the background layers.</description>
