Published on Search Engine Journal

My piece for Search Engine Journal’s guest blogging competition got published today, which was a nice surprise (particularly as I didn’t notice until I saw that it had been submitted to Sphinn!). I’m hoping that it’ll get a good response.

I notice that SEJ is not adding the linkback byline to the competition entries that they’d suggested they would. While the additional traffic back from a link on a PageRank 7 site would be good, it’s not a major issue. More important to me is the wider benefit to reputation and exposure – and hopefully a longer term trickle of traffic to Fog of Eternity that develops from that.

The article ‘Is Google Trumping The URL?‘ is on the Search Engine Journal site now.

    Awesome stuff Robin. I thought of entering, but didn’t bother because I didn’t think I’d stand a chance… :)

    Kudos to you.

Yeah, was a nice surprise and good exposure (particularly once I got SEJ’s comments to work so that I could respond in person to some of the comments!)
